# Energy Time Planner > Schedule flexible appliances against 24 hourly prices and a parallel-device limit. Schedule appliances against hourly or quarter-hourly prices, with deadlines, parallel-device and modeled power constraints plus a baseline comparison. Part of usefulweb.app (https://usefulweb.app/). Part of [Ledgerly](https://ledgerly.usefulweb.app/) (ownerApp: ledgerly). Results are deterministic calculations from the inputs and the listed assumptions; the API returns exactly what the web page shows. ## Use it - Human interface: https://ledgerlyenergyschedule.usefulweb.app/ (interactive tool at https://ledgerlyenergyschedule.usefulweb.app/tool) - JSON API: POST https://ledgerlyenergyschedule.usefulweb.app/api/v1/calculate with a JSON object of inputs (schema: https://ledgerlyenergyschedule.usefulweb.app/api/v1/tool) - OpenAPI: https://ledgerlyenergyschedule.usefulweb.app/openapi.json - MCP (Streamable HTTP): https://ledgerlyenergyschedule.usefulweb.app/mcp - tool `ledgerly_energy_schedule` ## Inputs - prices (textarea): 24 hourly or 96 quarter-hourly prices per kWh - parallel (number): Maximum appliances at once - maxKw (number): Maximum modeled power (kW, 0 = no limit) - devices (table): Appliances ## Method - 24 hourly or 96 quarter-hourly fixed slots. Device times align with the price interval; uninterrupted constant-power jobs, up to six appliances, negative prices supported. - The power constraint uses average kWh/duration, not transient starting currents. The baseline places appliances in input order at the earliest feasible time; it is not a measured bill. - Branch-and-bound stops after 200,000 nodes and reports whether optimality was proven. This planner does not control appliances or assess an electrical installation.
